Inspired by flowers cut from my garden and to be honest some are memories of cooler climates, others are very tropical and some are total imagination. My grandmother always had cut flowers of the most beautiful pinks, peaches and yellow on her dressing table and she could make a vase sing and take center stage by arranging a few so-called weeds.
My canvas tries to snatch a moment of colour brought from the outside in to create a statement.
